Leslie Poteet Busker

Leslie Poteet Busker is an American artist whose practice centers on architectural abstraction, with a complementary body of restrained figurative work.

Informed by a background in interior architecture, her practice investigates containment, threshold, and presence through a measured material language. Vertical structure, controlled surface, and disciplined composition form the foundation of her work, where density and silence exist in deliberate tension.

Within her architectural abstractions, these concerns are expressed through layered surfaces, spatial relationships, and the language of construction, creating contemplative works that suggest emotion and meaning without literal representation.

In her figurative works, Busker considers the human figure not as narrative, but as vessel: a site of interiority, endurance, and quiet strength. Through reduction and repetition, her work engages questions of what is held, what is concealed, and what remains when excess is removed.

Her paintings are held in public, private and corporate collections across the United States, Europe, and Japan. Her work has been collected by Marriott International.
